Lorri McKay is the Owner and Director of LORRI’S DANCE PLACE.
Lorri is a member and a Past President of Maple Leaf Dance Masters of America Ch. #43. Lorri has taught workshops and has adjudicated for many National Dance Competitions across Canada and the United States. Her students hold many National Titles and Honors, including Petite Miss Dance of America 1991, Miss Dance of America 1998 and Petite Miss Dance of America 2002. Many of Lorri’s students have gone on to become Teachers and Professional Dancers in Musicals, Ballet Companies and on Cruise Ships in North America and Overseas. |
Norma Sutherland

Norma Sutherland is a Registered Teacher and Mentor with the Royal Academy of Dance. She teaches all levels of ballet from Pre- Primary to Solo Seal. Her students have received excellent results. Two of her students have been awarded the solo seal.
Successful competitive students of Mrs. Sutherlands’ have won scholarships, overall awards and titles throughout Canada and the United States. Some are performing professionally in the theatre, on cruise ships and professional ballet companies in Canada and Europe. Other students have forged their own careers as Ballet Teachers. Mrs. Sutherland strives to bring technique, grace, poise, self esteem and discipline to all of her students. She takes pride in her career as a Ballet Teacher. |
Bryanne Sawaged

Bryanne started dancing at the age of 5. She has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and lyrical with many accomplished teachers at Lorri’s Dance Place.
Bryanne is a member teacher of the British Association Teachers Of Dance and has attended many workshops in Canada, the United States and Europe. As a competitor, she was a member of the Canadian National Tap Dance Team that won the 1st Canadian Gold Medal in 1998 in Reisa, Germany. She has also participated in many competitions at both the regional and national levels. Bryanne has taught and choreographed for many studios in the Toronto and surrounding communities. Her work has won many prestigious awards and scholarships. She has been a member of Lorri’s Dance Place faculty since 1999. Bryanne is a very passionate and energetic teacher who encourages confidence, discipline and commitment from all of her students. Bryanne has a very special talent in communicating and working with children. Her passion and love for dance shines through in the students she teaches. |
Nicole Serino

Nicole Serino currently resides in Toronto where her dance training began 26 years ago. Her studies have included ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, modern, hip-hop, and voice. Her intense training has taken her all over Canada and the United States where she has had the opportunity to win many national level titles and competitions.
Nicole holds a degree in dance from York University in Toronto, Ontario and is a qualified member of Dance Masters of America, working alongside some of North America’s top teachers, choreographers and performers. Nicole has been a guest choreographer with many well known dance institutions in Ontario including DMA and York University. She is sought after for her unique and innovative approach to dance and has been recognized for her excellence in choreography. Her students have been the recipients of many overall awards. She is the teacher of Mini Mr. Dance and 1st runner-up Junior Miss Dance of America 2003 and of Jr. Miss Dance 2004 (DMA chpt 43). Nicole’s students can also be seen dancing with the Toronto Raptors dance team, Carnival Cruise lines, Disney Cruise Lines, The Quinte Ballet School, The Toronto Argonaughts Cheerleaders and much more. Nicole’s expertise and knowledge has made her a sought after judge and she has had the oppourtunity to judge dancers from all over Canada. Through her passion and love for dance, Nicole motivates and inspires her students to become the best that they can be. It is her goal to instill positive and healthy attitudes in young, aspiring dancers. |
Stefanie Urch

Stefanie has been involved in the dance world for the past 20 years and has trained in all areas of dance, such as Ballet, Jazz, Acro, Tap and Lyrical. At the age of 7, she began competing in both dance and gymnastics. Although she loved to perform, Stefanie always knew that teaching and choreography was her true passion.
In 2002, Stefanie passed her Dance Masters of America teaching exams and became a certified teacher. Since then, Stefanie and her students have been very successful, winning countless choreography and overall awards. Some of those awards include, Mini Miss Dance 2007 (C.D.M.A), Mini Mr. Dance 2007(C.D.M.A), and Petite Miss Dance 2007(C.D.M.A). Stefanie is a proud member of our teaching staff and she is excited to start her 6th season teaching here at Lorri’s Dance Place. |
Kimberley Lewicki

Kimberley has been involved in the dance world for the past 17 years and has trained in all disciplines of dance including ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, acrobatics, contemporary, hip hop and musical theatre. Growing up in Toronto, Ontario Kimberley received her dance education at Lorri’s Dance Place under many well renowned teachers. Kimberley has passed all Royal Academy of Dancing ballet exams from Primary level to Advanced 2. During her many years of competitive dancing Kimberley has won various awards and scholarships, as well as being honoured with the titles of Teen Miss Dance of Canada 2006 Chapter 43, Teen Miss Dancefest 2006 and Miss Dancefest 2007. Kimberley’s passion for dance has allowed her to travel to destinations such as Las Vegas and New York City. She is currently pursuing a professional dance career, is a member of a performance and entertainment company, and continues to educate herself in the dance world. Kimberley is very excited to be sharing her love for dance with younger students by dance teaching in the GTA. |
Jennifer Spafford

Jennifer Spafford is a recent graduate of the Teacher Training Program at Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS), and has had the privilege of training with some of the world’s leading professionals in dance, ballet and related fields. In addition to receiving a Diploma from NBS, Jennifer also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in dance from York University. She holds teaching qualifications in National Dance through the Imperial Society of Teachers and Dancing, as well as an Associate standing with the Cecchetti Society of Canada.
Jennifer has worked with a wide variety of age groups in professional, recreational and competitive programs in both ballet and other forms of dance. Jennifer enjoys instilling a passion for dance in all her students through creativity, discipline and joy of movement. |
